Technologists (ASRT). The ASRT is the member society for all
professionals in the Radiologic Sciences.

(SDSRT).
As we begin another year of activity and dedication of the SDSRT our focus will remain on development, education, professionalism, and above all else ensuring the patients of South Dakota receive high quality medical imaging services and radiation therapy treatments.
As health care moves through uncertain times the strength of the SDSRT and the guidance of the ASRT will be essential to meet the changing dynamics of professional and patient needs. As an organization I encourage SDSRT members to remain focused on our mission and seek active engagement in the organization. There are a number of ways for our members to support the mission; listed below are just a few of those ways.
- Support other state affiliates and the ASRT by working to advance the CARE bill and state licensure
- Participate in scholastic opportunities by promoting education development and sharing knowledge through presentations and publication
- Ensure that proper and professional ethics are being upheld in your workplace
- Remain focused on patient care as the source of professional reason and existence
The SDSRT Board is seeking input and volunteers to help with projects. Some of these projects include the 2013 SDSRT conference that will be held in Deadwood, revision of the student competition guidelines and forms, and proposed changes to the membership fees and conference guidelines. If you are interested in helping with any of these projects please feel free to email me and I will be sure your contact information is passed onto the appropriate committee. Thank you to all of the members that have already volunteered to work on conference and scholarship committees.
